Condition: G+, trimmed, some thinning in right panel, stains, binding punctures, edgewear, wormage, thin transparent backing
Impression: VG , solid key lines, tight registration
Color: VG, deep saturated color, with bleed through to verso visible through thin transparent backing
Notes: Thanks to Horst Graebner at for his help in identifying this triptych. The actors from left to right are: Iwai Kumesaburo II, Onoe Kikugoro III and Bando Mitsugoro IV. The Tenpo reforms in mid-1842 forbid woodblock prints with kabuki scenes so the triptych must be dated to before the end of 1842.
